Reports
Something looks wrong? Report it from the studio. A report carries what we need to understand it, so we do not have to ask you for your graphics card or your version.
Send a report
- Click the bug button at the top, right of Notes, or press F8. The picture freezes and the clip pauses.
- Drag an area around what looks wrong. Drag again to add another area; the ✕ on an area removes it.
- Add a comment if you like, then Send (or Enter). Cancel (or Esc) drops it. Either way the clip goes on as it was.
A note says Report sent. If DGen cannot reach us (you are offline, or your login is refused), it says Report kept: the report waits on your machine and goes out by itself later, every minute and at each start.
Reports need your early access login. Without one, the bug button opens the Early access tab of the config first. Reports you made before you saved the login go out once it is saved.
What a report carries
what is sent, beside Send, lists every part. In short:
- The picture of the studio at that moment, the areas you drew and your comment.
- The page's state: its address (the scene, the clip and its time, the camera, the body, the look), your browser and its version, your screen.
- Your graphics: the graphics card WebGPU reports, its features and limits, and any graphics error.
- The speed: frames a second and the recent frame times, the resolution in use, the physics switches.
- DGen's side: its version, your system, the profile's name, its libraries (local or over ssh) and the Daz products found.
- The logs: the page's last 300 console lines and DGen's last 500 log lines. These may hold file paths of your Daz library.
What a report never carries
Your password, your Daz files, and anything else from your disk. A report goes to our private inbox and nowhere else.
A copy of each report stays in your DGen folder, in reports/.
